While most netizens were busy sharing macabre posts about Halloween on Thursday, Oct. 30, Davao Oriental 2nd district Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario and his wife Migs Nograles were busy sharing sugary messages about their first anniversary as husband and wife.
The two House "Young Guns" members were a success story during the previous 19th Congress, and their anniversary posts reminded their followers just how perfect of a match they were.
"Life has a funny way of teaching you things that you need in God's perfect time. And in this very moment one year ago, I was taught how to be a better person for the half that would make me whole - my wife," Cheeno wrote on his Facebook.
"I didn't think I was ready for it. I didn't think I could measure up to the responsibilities. But in the end, my wife has taught me more about myself than what I've learned in my 32 years of existence. You are my biggest and greatest blessing," he said of the former Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) Party-list congresswoman,
"One year flew by so fast, and I will gladly experience the rest of my life with you. Happy anniversary, Atty. Migs Nograles. I love you," Cheeno said.
Migs's post mirrored that of her husband's in the way that life simply brought them each otjer.
"I thought I was done with love. Too many wrong people, too many wrong timings. So I focused on myself, on work, on family. Love could wait… or maybe never," she wrote in her own Facebook post.
"Pero (But) life has a funny way of surprising you. Kasi dumating si Cheeno (Because Cheeno came along)... quietly, genuinely, without trying too hard. And suddenly, everything made sense," Migs said.
"I realized you don’t need a perfect story, just someone who is willing to make this crazy rollercoaster of a life more fun to live in Happy 1 year to us love, Cheeno!" she said.
And the couple's happiness shows.
