The Delegation of the European Union (EU) on Thursday, Oct. 30, announced that its European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2025 will bring in new opportunities for Filipino students wishing to achieve higher education credentials in Europe.
This after new EU member-states—Latvia, Romania, and Slovakia—start offering a wider range of opportunities and academic programs for Filipino students who want to study in Europe.
The fair is represented this year by the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Latvia, Hungary, The Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, and Sweden represented this year.
EU Ambassador to Manila Massimo Santoro took pride in this year’s offering.
“Each year, EHEF grows not just in size but also in depth. With new EUMS states joining us and new program sessions expanding our offerings, we are opening more pathways for Filipino students and researchers to connect, learn, and thrive in the EU,” he said.
“This reflects the EU’s continuous dedication to making education a bridge between nations and cultures,” the envoy added.
The EHEF 2025 will take place at the Midtown Atrium of Robinsons Manila on Nov. 21 and 22, while a series of online sessions will happen on Nov. 24.
“Throughout the fair, participating EU universities and representatives will showcase their wide range of degree programmes, scholarships, and research opportunities designed for Filipino students seeking to pursue higher education in the EU,” a statement from the EU said.
Students, academicians, and researchers will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from 97 European higher education institutions, embassies, and cultural institutes.
The fair will also introduce new program sessions, featuring representatives from EU’s flagship Earth Observation program—Copernicus Programme—and EURAXESS, EU’s platform to supports researcher mobility and career development.
The fair will also host a special session on Erasmus+ Capacity Building for Higher Education (CBHE), highlighting EU’s continued commitment “to fostering innovation, collaboration, and network building within the Philippine higher education sector.”
