Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso announced a new digital service that will make it easier for families to locate the graves of their loved ones buried at the Manila North and South Cemeteries.
Through the initiative of the Manila City Government, residents can now use online cemetery locators ahead of Undas to find the exact geographical location of their relatives’ burial sites.
The websites manilanorthcemetery.ph and manilasouthcemetery.com allow users to search for the names of the deceased and view their corresponding burial locations within the city-operated cemeteries.
“Maybe some of us haven’t visited our loved ones buried in the Manila North Cemetery for a long time,” Domagoso said.
“Through this program of your Manila City Government, you can now easily locate and visit your loved ones.”
Domagoso said the project aims to help families, especially those who have lost track of burial sites over the years, and to provide convenience during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
The mayor added that the digital locator is part of the city’s broader effort to modernize public services and make information more accessible to residents.
“We want Manileños to have easier access to information, even when visiting their departed loved ones,” he said.
The online locator system was developed by the city government’s information technology team in coordination with the Manila North Cemetery and Manila South Cemetery offices.
