Ex-cop shot, wounded in Oriental Mindoro

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – A former policeman was shot and wounded in Bansud, this province, on Thursday morning, Oct. 30.
Police Major Clyde B. Kalyawen, Bansud Municipal Police Station chief, identified the victim as Elmar Sumo, married.
Kalyawen said the victim was driving a Toyota Fortuner with his wife onboard when a man suddenly appeared and fired at the victim.
Sumo was wounded in the shoulder but was able to drive away as the suspect continued to fire at the vehicle.
The victim is recovering in a hospital.
The suspect has been identified and a special investigation team is tracking him.
