The Eastern Police District (EPD) is set to mobilize its full force, with 561 personnel to be deployed across 14 cemeteries in Metro East to ensure the safety, security, and convenience of the public during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on Nov. 1 and 2.

The EPD said the personnel will be deployed to six public and eight private cemeteries within the district’s area of responsibility.
It added that 270 personnel will be assigned as anti-criminality teams in major areas of convergence, such as transport terminals, malls, and main roads, while 104 personnel will form the Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) at their respective headquarters, ready for immediate deployment if needed.
In addition, 681 civilian partners and force multipliers will assist EPD personnel in cemeteries to help manage traffic, provide public assistance, and support crowd control operations.
Authorities said their participation highlights the importance of community cooperation and shared responsibility in maintaining public order and safety.
Police Assistance Desks (PADs) will also be set up in all cemeteries and areas of convergence to provide public assistance and respond to emergencies and concerns.
EPD also mentioned that security will be tightened in key areas, while foot and mobile patrols will be deployed round the clock to maintain police visibility and prevent crime.
Random inspections of deployment sites and personnel will also be carried out by the EPD Red Team to ensure proper conduct and presence, highlighting the district’s commitment to public safety.
“The Eastern Police District remains steadfast in upholding its duty to protect and serve the community.
