Cops apprehend suspect in fatal shooting of 2 women

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – Police on Tuesday arrested the suspect in the fatal shooting of two women in Barangay San Roque, Tabaco City, Albay province.
Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office-5, identified the suspect as Lui, 43.
Lui, who was apprehended in the house of a neighbor, was informed of the nature of his arrest under the Miranda doctrine and was apprised of his constitutional rights.
He was taken to a hospital for mandatory medical examination.
Follow-up investigation is still ongoing. Efforts are under way to recover the firearm.
Police identified the victims as Daisy, 30, and Nerissa, 35.
Police said the suspect became enraged after Daisy refused to sell him illegal drugs on Monday.
Lui shot Daisy and Nerissa who were talking in an alley. The victims were taken to a hospital where they were declared dead.
