K-pop group STAYC member diagnosed with Covid-19, flu
A member of K-pop girl group STAYC is taking a break from activities after being diagnosed with Covid-19 and flu.
High Up Entertainment, the agency of STAYC, announced on Oct. 29 that member Isa will skip activities due to poor health.
“STAYC member Isa will not be participating in all scheduled activities today due to poor health conditions caused by type A influenza and a positive diagnosis of Covid-19,” the agency announced.
It added, “Isa is currently focusing on treatment and recovery according to the medical team's advice, and future activities will be decided after continued monitoring of her health,” adding that “we will do our best to ensure Isa's speedy recovery.”
Based on sampling surveillance data from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency for the period Sept. 14 to 20, there were 428 people in South Korea who were hospitalized, according to reports by 221 hospitals and medical institutions.
