Fans of Heart Evangelista have come to her defense after Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda commented on an issue during an episode of "It's Showtime."
Vice Ganda stated that his team recently visited a school in Heart Evangelista's province that lacked reading materials and was in disrepair.
“May pinuntahan akong lugar do’n sa probinsya nina Heart Evangelista, na isang paaralan na walang reading materials. Pinagawa ko ‘yong eskwelahan. (I went to a place in Heart Evangelista’s province, where a school didn't have reading materials. So I had the school built)," Vice said.
However, Heart's fans argue that Vice Ganda's comments were misdirected, suggesting the Department of Education would be a more appropriate entity to address such concerns.
They also refute the allegations that the school in question was in poor condition or lacked reading materials.

Also, fans questioned Vice's intention for mentioning Heart in his comments on national television.
In a statement, Sorsogon Municipal Mayor Wennie Rafallo-Romano said Heart has nothing to do with the issue. "Nais ko pong bigyang-diin na wala pong kinalaman si Ms. Heart Evangelista-Escudero sad isyung ito.
"Vice Ganda visited Bagacay Elementary School on Sept. 26, 2023, and pledged to donate to the school. The first donation of P50,000.00 was sent to the School Head on Dec. 22, 2023, followed by additional contributions on Jan. 7, 2024, Jan. 24, and Jan. 30 worth P17,360.00. His total donation was P67,360.00, and the project included repairing windows and doors, plastering the walls of the makeshift classroom, laying tiles in a comfort room, and installing internet and paying the internet bill for three months.
"The LGU Bulusan sincerely thanks the donation given and for his generosity, the makeshift classroom that was started by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) was repaired, and there was also funding from the school MOOE and the LGU's Special Education Fund.
"We want to inform you that, even before Vice Ganda's team visited the said school, a permanent classroom from DepEd was already available, along with complete books and supplementary reading materials required by the department. In fact, on May 11, 2023, DepEd Sorsogon launched the Reading Program 'Project Target' here, so there are supplementary reading materials that the students are using," read parts of a statement issued by the mayor.
