The Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPPO) has been placed on heightened alert as part of the national “Ligtas Undas 2025” security and safety plan.
The alert status took effect from 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 29 and will remain in force until 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 3, coinciding with the expected surge of visitors to cemeteries and transport terminals across the province.
Bulacan PPO Director Col. Angel Garcillano has deployed personnel and implemented security measures to ensure peace and order in cemeteries, churches, terminals, and other public places.
All city and municipal police stations have also established Police Assistance Desks (PADS), manned by uniformed officers, barangay peacekeepers, and force multipliers to provide immediate public assistance.
Col. Garcillano said police visibility and coordination with local government units and other agencies will be intensified to enable a quick response to any incidents.
The Bulacan police also reminded the public to observe cemetery regulations and refrain from bringing prohibited items such as sharp objects, alcoholic beverages, and gambling materials.
Authorities urged residents to remain alert, cooperate with law enforcement, and prioritize safety during the Undas observance.
