BACOLOD CITY – The brother of 17-year-old Freya Go vowed justice for her sister, who was laid to rest on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the Valley of Peace in Barangay Mandalagan here, a week after she was found dead in Barangay 12, this city on Oct. 22.
“We will not stop until justice is duly served,” he said in a eulogy.
The victim was sexually assaulted and strangled to death, according to the police. Her body, discovered by a passerby in a vacant lot, was hogtied with her lower garment pulled down.
The victim’s brother expressed deep anguish and disbelief over the brutal killing.
“What you did to my sister is beyond forgiving. Why does it have to be that way? Until now, we cannot accept what happened,” he said.
He added that their family remains united in seeking justice.
“We will not stop until the perpetrator is identified, arrested, and carry out the full force of the law. She deserves justice and dignity.”
He sympathized with other families who have endured similar tragedies. “Our hearts go out to all victims who suffered the same,” he said.
The victim’s parents thanked those who offered support, prayers, and comfort throughout their ordeal. White balloons were released during the internment as the family continued their call for justice.
