In 2015, Wedding Essentials magazine created Tadhana—a platform where young designers could catapult their careers, unsung creatives of the bridal industry stepped into the spotlight, and Filipino couples discovered the best ways to make their dream nuptials a reality. Ten years later, with the unwavering support of The Manila Hotel, Manila Bulletin Publishing’s wedding magazine continues to champion its mission and inspire soon-to-wed Filipinos.
On Oct. 17, 2025, at The Manila Hotel’s Tent City, Wedding Essentials magazine celebrated the decade-long legacy of Tadhana, its premier bridal showcase. Turning the space into a dreamy wedding haven was master stylist Randy Lazaro. The runway was graced by the bridal creations of esteemed Filipino designers Mich Viray, Chris Diaz, Erik Castelo, Simoun Andres, and homecoming designer Mak Tumang—one of Tadhana’s first young dreamers who now carries the Filipino flag on the global stage.
Beyond the runway, regional artists presented their takes on thoughtfully curated tablescapes—a testament to the magazine’s commitment to uplifting emerging creatives in the wedding industry. Alvin Pingol brought to life “Halimuyak,” a lush celebration of Filipino blooms. Monarich Bumanlag honored the sea’s gifts through “Awit ng Alon.” Glenda Enriquez-David presented “Kasaganahan,” a vibrant tribute to the nation’s floral bounty and the Queen of Philippine orchids. Ferdie Talbenito captured the elegance of “Hiyas ng Silangan,” inspired by South Sea pearls. Finally, Cacai Muñoz, president of CLESA, infused the soul of Pampanga into “Hiraya,” a dreamscape adorned with parols and local artistry.
“We’ve seen many runways; we’ve witnessed countless bridal events. But Tadhana is different. It’s not just a show—Tadhana is a heartbeat,” said Wedding Essentials editor-in-chief and Tadhana co-founder Kitten Zapata. “Wedding Essentials will never get tired of being your platform to build your dreams, of celebrating your love, of making your visions come to life.”
