Titan Ultra trades Chris Koon to Magnolia for Aris Dionisio

Titan Ultra has traded Chris Koon to Magnolia in exchange for forward Aris Dionisio, the Giant Risers announced Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Just a month after getting drafted in the PBA and with only five professional games in his career, Koon takes a leap to his second home and will join a crew that has LA Tenorio at the helm.

“Thank you and good luck Aris Dionisio!” Magnolia wrote on its social media post. “Welcome to the team Chris Koon!”

“Welcome to Titan Ultra, Aris! We can’t wait to watch you let those threes rain and make the defensive stops!” Titan Ultra also penned on its post.

The former Atenean was picked in the recent draft by NorthPort as fourth overall, next to No. 1 pick Geo Chiu (Terrafirma), No. 2 Juan Gómez de Liaño (Converge), and No. 3 Dalph Panopio (Blackwater).

With Titan Ultra entering the PBA scene and taking over the Batang Pier, Koon and the management initially agreed to a two-year contract.

With his new club, Koon tries to impress in his first game with the Hotshots, who are facing the Phoenix Fuel Masters (1-3) this Friday, Oct. 31, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
