Bulacan police raided an illegal firecracker factory in Sitio Bihunan, Barangay Biñang 1st on Monday, Oct. 27, and arrested a man caught making fireworks without a permit.
The suspect, identified as “Jon-jon,” 22, a resident of Bocaue, was found producing baby rockets without authorization from the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office.
Recovered from the suspect were 23 kilograms of potassium chlorate, a cylinder part of a baby rocket, and an undetermined amount of finished product.
Police said the operation came after a concerned citizen reported the illegal activity.

Acting on the tip, the Bocaue Police, led by Cpt. Ferdie Santos and Pat. Adrian Balagtas, went to the area and arrested the suspect.
Authorities said the arrest is part of their ongoing campaign against the illegal manufacture and use of firecrackers, in line with Republic Act 7183, also known as the Firecracker Law.
Police reminded the public to follow safety rules when handling and selling fireworks to prevent accidents and ensure a safe celebration.
