The Southern Police District (SPD) reported that 54 successful buy-bust operations conducted by seven police stations in the southern Metro Manila from Oct. 20 to 26 led to the arrest of 76 drug suspects and in the confiscation of P4,329,012 million worth of illegal drugs.
SPD Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo said the feat reaffirms their firm commitment to eradicate illegal drugs through relentless law enforcement and strengthened community partnership.
Arceo said out of the 76 drug offenders, five were identified as high-value individuals (HVIs) and 71 were street-level individuals (SLIs).
He said that a total of 636.57 grams of shabu, 2.80 grams of marijuana (kush), and one vape with marijuana oil/cannabis oil were recovered during the week-long operation.
The SPD chief said leading the successful operations was the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU), which recorded the biggest drug haul of P2,040,000, followed by the Taguig City Police Station with P1,521,626.00, both contributing significantly to the district’s overall accomplishment. The Makati, Parañaque, and Pasay City Police Stations also made notable contributions with successful operations and multiple arrests.
Arceo lauded the collective effort of all operating units for their consistent results and strong resolve in pursuing the PNP’s anti-drug campaign.
