The Muntinlupa City government laid out plans to ensure safe, orderly, and dignified observance of Undas in all public cemeteries and memorial parks.
Filipinos will troop to cemeteries during Undas and Muntinlupa’s task force, composed of various city departments, will be in-charge of crowd control, medical assistance, traffic rerouting, and public information dissemination.
Pre-Undas operations have already begun in Muntinlupa. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) conducted flushing operations to clean major roads and cemetery surroundings.
The Muntinlupa Community Affairs and Development Office, together with the Environmental Sanitation Center, led clean-up drives to clear pathways and remove obstructions.
The Muntinlupa Engineering Department carried out repainting and repairs of public facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all.
The Muntinlupa City Public Cemetery will be open from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Grave cleaning and repainting are allowed until Oct. 28, while no burial or cremation schedules will be accommodated from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
To maintain peace and order, the city government reminded the public that gambling, alcoholic beverages, sharp objects, videoke or loud sound systems, selling inside or outside cemetery premises, and parking or driving vehicles within cemetery grounds are strictly prohibited.
Personnel will be deployed in cemeteries to assist the public and ensure smooth operations throughout the observance.
