With the opening of the IKEA at Trinoma mall, homeowners and families from the north of Metro Manila need not go all the way to Pasay City to get hold of Swedish home furnishings.
A first in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, the IKEA Plan and Order shop makes available and accessible its signature style of affordable, sustainable, and Scandinavian-coded home furnishings for the residents of Quezon City, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela, and even for those in nearby cities in Central Luzon.
“Our philosophy is to make great design available to the many Filipinos who dream of spaces that bring them joy and closer to each other, especially around Christmastime,” said IKEA Philippines Country Retail Manager Ricardo Pinheiro.

Although the shop is smaller than IKEA's Pasay store, which is the retailer's largest branch worldwide, it offers a range of services to its customers, particularly those seeking expert planning advice and the opportunity to purchase selected IKEA products.
At the 500-square-meter IKEA Plan and Order shop, shoppers are promised the IKEA experience that they can find in the Pasay City branch and more. Its main feature is the planning service for kitchen cabinets and wardrobes for bedrooms and living rooms. The store’s inspiring vignettes show how furniture pieces, lighting, and décor can come together, such as select cooking and dining accessories. Furthermore, design specialists are on hand for consultation at the planning zone. At this shop, customers can browse and order online from the full IKEA range of over 8,500 items and have them delivered to the store for pickup later.
Customers should also note that the IKEA Plan and Order store is also a cashless shop, accepting only digital and card payments.
The momentous store arrival at Trinoma also marks the partnership between IKEA and Ayala Malls. On October 23, the store opening was marked by a ceremonial tape-cutting led by Pinheiro, Ayala Land Senior Vice President and Head of Leasing and Hospitality Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Ambassador of Sweden to the Philippines Anna Ferry, and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
“Almost four years ago, IKEA said its first ‘hello’ to the Philippines when we opened our first store in Pasay City. Today, I'm proud to share that we’re now in Quezon City with our first Plan and Order shop at Trinoma, in collaboration with Ayala Malls,” remarked Pinheiro in his welcome speech.
“IKEA’s arrival at Trinoma is more than an expansion; it's a shared commitment to uplifting everyday living. Together, we hoped that intuitive design and thoughtful lifestyle solutions would be more accessible. Now IKEA is finally within Quezon City. We are especially proud to be home to IKEA's first Plan and Order shop. We feel that this new format reflects the shared vision between Ayala Malls and IKEA to create spaces that are innovative, inclusive, and customer-centric, elevate everyday life, and bring meaningful experiences. So, as we enter this new chapter in Trinoma, we warmly welcome IKEA to the Ayala Malls family,” said Zobel de Ayala.
The IKEA Plan and Order shop is located at Level 1 in Trinoma Mall, Quezon City.
