CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office in Central Luzon (PRO-3) will deploy over 12,000 law enforcement personnel and force multipliers across the region to ensure a peaceful observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days on Nov. 1 and 2 as part of the nationwide security initiative “Ligtas Undas 2025.”
In a statement Tuesday, PRO-3 director Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said around 3,000 police officers will be assigned to cemeteries, memorial parks, churches, transport terminals, and tourist spots from Oct. 29 to Nov. 5.
More than 1,000 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard will also participate, along with about 7,600 force multipliers, including village watchmen, civic groups, and non-government volunteers.
Police will also enhance visibility and assistance in 664 cemeteries, 139 motorist centers, 611 police desks, major tourist spots, and transportation hubs across the region.
“This proactive deployment ensures that all cemeteries, terminals, and public areas are properly secured for the safe and orderly observance of Undas 2025. It reflects our continuing commitment to safeguard the public during one of the busiest times of the year,” Peñones said.
He thanked partner agencies and community volunteers for their steadfast cooperation and commitment to public service.
“Their active participation embodies the true spirit of ‘bayanihan’ and shared responsibility in maintaining peace and security,” Peñones said.
