A utility vehicle (UV) driver suffered a heart attack while his vehicle was parked along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and was rescued by passing motorists who noticed his condition and broke his car window to help him.
A video circulating on social media showed the driver slumped and unresponsive inside his vehicle.
Concerned motorists immediately smashed the window to reach him, pulled him out, and called for medical assistance.
The footage was later uploaded online to help locate the driver’s family, which eventually led to their reunion.
According to initial reports, the victim is now recovering in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a nearby hospital, where he remains under close observation.
Authorities commended the motorists for their swift response, saying their timely action helped save the driver’s life.
They also reminded the public to stay alert and calm during emergencies and to immediately contact emergency hotlines for assistance.
