Soldier killed, 3 colleagues hurt in Quezon road accident

LOPEZ, Quezon – A soldier was killed and three colleagues were injured in a collision between their motorcycles and a bus in Barangay Talolong here before dawn on Monday.
Police identified the fatality as Nico and the injured as Emer, Erwin, and Reynaldo.
The victims are assigned to the 85th Infantry Battalion under the 2nd Infantry Division.
Police said the victims were traveling onboard two motorcycles when a Goldtrans bus driven by Robert sideswiped them.
The victims sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where Nico was declared dead.
The bus driver fled and the subject of a manhunt.
He faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, multiple physical injury, and damage to property.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
