KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—President Marcos has designated National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Assistant Director Lito Magno as the new head of the agency, following the resignation of NBI director Jaime Santiago.

Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro confirmed the change in NBI leadership in a press briefing on the sidelines of the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

Castro also confirmed that the President has accepted the resignation of Santiago.

The Palace official, however, did not disclose further details on the recent appointment.
