Jetour Auto Philippines has officially launched the T1 Lightning i-DM, a new plug-in hybrid SUV that expands the brand’s lineup in the local market. The launch took place at The Cove in Okada Manila, attracting executives, dealer principals, bank partners, and media representatives. The event featured a press conference, test drives, and an evening ceremony that formally introduced the model to the public.
JETOUR Auto International President, Mr. Ke Chuandeng, graced the occasion.
Present at the launch were Jetour Auto International President, Ke Chuandeng; Jetour Auto Philippines Chairman, Rommel Sytin; and Managing Director, Miguelito Jose. The executives outlined the company’s direction in hybrid mobility and reaffirmed their commitment to delivering intelligent vehicles suited for Filipino motorists. Sytin stated, “The Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM represents more than just advanced technology; it represents our respect for local heritage and our dedication to shaping a sustainable future.”
Jose added, “Bringing this vehicle to the Philippines is both a celebration and a promise, a celebration of how far we’ve come, and a promise of where Jetour is headed with the Filipino people.”
At The Cove, the evening program combined visual presentations, lighting effects, and live music to highlight Jetour’s focus on innovation and contemporary design. The unveiling of the T1 Lightning i-DM served as the central moment of the event, accompanied by the introduction of Jetour’s brand ambassadors, including Team Kramer and Camille and VJ Yambao, who reflect the brand’s message of modern family appeal and forward-thinking values.

Similar to the T2, the Jetour T1 features a boxy yet well-proportioned design that emphasizes its off-road-inspired styling. The front fascia is characterized by a large hexagonal grille flanked by slim LED headlamps and integrated DRLs, giving it a more urban and modern character compared to the rugged stance of the larger T2. The sculpted hood, squared wheel arches, and upright tailgate accentuate its geometric profile, while shorter overhangs enhance its compact SUV proportions. Black cladding runs along the lower body for added visual strength, complemented by a floating roofline and a rear light bar that wraps around the back for a contemporary look. While the T2 presents a broader, more muscular shape suited for 4x4 applications, the T1’s design leans toward city practicality without losing its adventurous edge.
Intelligent dual motor
The T1 Lightning i-DM is powered by a hybrid system combining a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 140-hp and 215-Nm of torque, paired with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor that adds 150-kW and 310-Nm of torque. Power is managed through a DHT hybrid gearbox, providing smooth transitions between electric and combustion modes. The SUV is built around an ultra-safe cage body with integrated laser tailoring for added rigidity and occupant protection.
The vehicle’s 26.7-kWh battery supports DC fast-charging, replenishing from 30-to 80-percent in about 30-minutes. Jetour claims this setup allows the T1 Lightning i-DM to balance daily usability with reduced fuel consumption. The system is designed to switch automatically between modes depending on driving conditions, optimizing both performance and efficiency.
Luxurious interiors
The interior of the T1 Lightning i-DM is designed for comfort and technology. It features a 15.6-inch central touchscreen display and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that integrates infotainment and driving data. The cabin also includes multi-layer soundproof and heat-resistant glass, adaptive ventilation seats, and a 24-hour parked air conditioning function for improved convenience. The materials and finishes are consistent with Jetour’s approach to premium yet accessible design.
Safety and driver assistance features include multiple airbags, ISOFIX anchors, and a complete suite of electronic systems such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a 540-degree panoramic camera system. These technologies complement the vehicle’s Corner Brake Control, Hill Assist, and Stability Control systems to ensure security and control in various driving conditions.
ACTIVLive Smartwatch
During the presentation, host James Deakin also demonstrated the Jetour ACTIVLife Smartwatch, a device that connects directly with the vehicle. Through this smartwatch, owners can remotely start the engine, unlock doors, open windows, and monitor fitness data. The first 100 buyers of the T1 Lightning i-DM will receive this smartwatch as part of an introductory package.
The T1 Lightning i-DM is priced at P1,798,000 for a limited time, after which it will be offered at its standard retail price of P1,898,000. Available colors include Night Black, Sand Gold, Electroplated Green, Silver Snow, and Khaki White. The model joins Jetour’s expanding hybrid lineup alongside the Dashing Lightning i-DM and X70 Lightning i-DM. The company currently operates 21 authorized dealerships nationwide. With the T1 Lightning i-DM, Jetour aims to strengthen its position in the hybrid SUV segment and appeal to a new generation of Filipino drivers seeking innovation, practicality, and modern design in one package. Positioned below the larger and more expensive T2, the T1 serves as a more accessible entry point into Jetour’s hybrid SUV lineup while maintaining an aspirational appeal for customers looking for premium features at a more attainable price.
