GT Capital Holdings Inc. (GT Capital) has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) to put up a new Ateneo campus at Riverpark, a township of wholly owned subsidiary Federal Land Inc. in General Trias City, Cavite.
In a disclosure, GT Capital said the new Ateneo campus will rise on a 15-hectare (ha) parcel of land at Riverpark, the latest addition to a growing number of strategic developments in the township, which currently include a UNIQLO Logistics Facility and the upcoming SM City.
“Ateneo’s presence in Riverpark not only strengthens the educational landscape of Cavite but also uplifts the lives of the communities we serve,” GT Capital Vice Chairman Alfred V. Ty said.
He added that, “Our investment in this campus reflects our long-term commitment to creating sustainable value for generations of Filipinos, anchored on the values of excellence and service.”
Ateneo’s Cavite campus is expected to bring holistic and world-class education closer to learners residing south of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The school is targeted to open by 2030.
“The new Ateneo campus in Riverpark allows us to extend our mission and provide more families in Cavite and nearby provinces with access to quality education rooted in our Jesuit tradition,” ADMU president Fr. Roberto Yap, S.J., noted.
By 2026, Riverpark residents will gain direct access to the open canal interchange of Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), significantly improving travel time to and from the township.
Last May, Federal Land NRE Global Inc. (FNG) reported the 100-percent sellout of the first tranche of commercial lots at Riverpark, which are set to be developed into office, retail, and other mixed-use facilities. FNG is a joint venture (JV) between Federal Land and Japan’s Nomura Real Estate Development Co. Ltd.
Riverpark, a “Federal Land Community,” is envisioned to be “the next-gen city of the south,” designed as a sustainable development that promotes smart and holistic living.
The inclusion of an Ateneo campus further elevates the township and reinforces its position as a catalyst for growth and innovation in the south.
