The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on Monday, October 27, announced that it had received a P1 million donation from TP in the Philippines (formerly Teleperformance) to support ongoing relief and recovery operations for families affected by recent earthquakes across the country.
The donation was formally turned over on October 24 at TP in the Philippines’ new headquarters in Taguig City, with PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard J. Gordon expressing gratitude for the company’s continued partnership and humanitarian support.
“The Philippine Red Cross is always among the first to respond when disasters strike,” Gordon said. “But it is through partners like TP in the Philippines that we are able to reach more people, deliver aid, and give them hope in such times,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by TP Americas CEO Miranda Collard, TP India/ANZ CEO and Chief AI Officer Anish Mukker, TP in the Philippines CEO Rahul Jolly, and Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson, who joined Chairman Gordon in the symbolic packing of relief goods for earthquake survivors.

According to the PRC, the P1 million contribution will fund the distribution of emergency shelter materials, food, clean water, and other essential humanitarian aid for communities severely affected by the recent disasters.
Continuing partnership for humanitarian response
Since 2015, TP in the Philippines has consistently supported the PRC’s emergency response efforts through its corporate social responsibility arm, Citizen of the World (COTW). Previous assistance included relief operations for Typhoon Yolanda (2015), Typhoon Nina (2017), and the Taal Volcano eruption (2020).
Earlier this year, TP in the Philippines also donated P200,000 for PRC operations in Cebu and P500,000 for Davao following separate earthquake events. The latest P300,000 addition brings the company’s total contribution to P1 million for earthquake-hit communities.
“One of the things that’s so important to us at TP is that we contribute to the communities where we operate,” said TP in the Philippines Chief People Officer Jeffrey Johnson.
“We’re not just here to do business—we’re also here to make sure that we leave the community a better place,” he added. “We partner with the Red Cross because we share the same mission: wherever you operate, you do good and leave the community better.”
With its long-standing collaborations with private sector partners, the PRC continues to uphold its mission of responding swiftly to emergencies, empowering communities, and serving humanity. For donations or emergency assistance, the public may contact the PRC Hotline #143.
