ILOILO CITY – A total of 4,280 police officers were deployed in Western Visayas region for this year’s ‘’Undas’’ or All Saints’ Day observance.
“Your police force in Western Visayas is fully prepared to secure and assist everyone during the ‘Undas’ observance,” said Police Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan, Police Regional Office-6 chief.
Ligan ordered a comprehensive security and public safety coverage through the Enhance Managing Police Operations in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces as well as the capital of Iloilo City.
“Let us all work together for a solemn, safe, and peaceful commemoration,” added Ligan.
Intensified police presence will be implemented in cemeteries, churches, bus terminals, port terminals, airports, and other areas.
Police assistance desks and checkpoints will be established.
Ligan said they are closely working together with other government agencies and law enforcement for a peaceful and orderly All Saints’ Day.
Police will coordinate with local government units to ease traffic heavy traffic on Nov. 1 and 2, All Souls' Day.
