Deranged man stabs bus passenger to death

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A man allegedly with mental health issues stabbed a passenger to death on board a provincial bus in Barangay Pinagpanaan, Talavera, Nueva Ecija, on Saturday night, Oct. 25.
Police said the bus conductor was unloading cargo near a bridge when the suspect suddenly stood up and stabbed the victim multiple times. Passengers were shocked and fled the bus.
The suspect was allegedly whispering to himself before the incident.
Police arrested the suspect who allegedly was not aware of what happened and remained near the bridge.
Witnesses believe the suspect has mental issues that triggered him to kill the victim.
The bus was on its way to Metro Manila from Baler, Aurora when the incident happened.
Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
