'Tuloy na tuloy:' 74th Miss Universe Pageant to push through in Thailand amid national mourning
Nawat Itsaragrisil, organizer of the 74th Miss Universe pageant, announced this in a Facebook post on Oct. 25.
He officially announced, amid speculation that the 2025 Miss Universe pageant would be postponed following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand, that there would be adjustments to the pageant's format and activities.
Over 120 candidates will participate in the prestigious event. Some contestants have already arrived in Bangkok, although the official arrival schedule will start on Nov. 2.
"Miss Grand International Public Company Limited, as the organizer of The 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held from 2–21 November in Thailand, would like to inform you that the event will proceed as originally planned," said Nawat.
He added, "This is because preparations and operations have been underway for some time, and some contestants and members of the international teams have already arrived in Thailand."

"According to the announcement published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette regarding the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and the mourning guidelines issued by the Prime Minister’s Office.
"Miss Grand International Public Company Limited, as the organizer of The 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held from 2–21 November in Thailand, would like to inform you that the event will proceed as originally planned.
"This is because preparations and operations have been underway for some time, and some contestants and members of the international teams have already arrived in Thailand.
"However, the organizing committee will adjust the format and related activities as appropriate to the circumstances and will strictly adhere to the guidelines and recommendations from the government.
