Manuel L. Quezon's grandson Ricky Avancena slams biopic on his grandfather: 'Labas sya sa kabaduyan ng Bayaniverse'
Ricky criticized the portrayal of his grandfather in the movie, which he had already watched three times. He shared his thoughts on Facebook on Oct. 24 after a confrontation with actor Jericho Rosales and director Jerrold Tarog during the Q&A session for the movie in Makati City last Oct. 23. Please be aware of Ricky's offensive language in his post:
"So I went to see Quezon the movie for the 3rd time in a week. This time, I went to engage the makers in a Q&A.
"Fuxxxing Jericho Rosales tried to block me, in effect canceling a Quezon, from a Quezon movie which sullied his reputation.
My only question was to the Director Jerrold Tarugo.
'Was this film political satire or not?'.
He said yes, but tried to wiggle away from the question. Kesyo dis kesyo dat. Sabi ko' Satire, may definition, (parang Fortwith), satire, di nagbibiro lang pala kayo? At this point, Jericho Rosales stood up and told me to stop talking. That other people had questions.
"Well ang ending, sabi ko, 'Sige but allow me to channel my Lolo, Punxxxx, mga kupal kayo!, Putxxxx nyo'!.
"So, I'm not saying don't watch the movie, hayaan na natin kumita yung mga bayarang pxxx na yun sila.
"Watch it, and then join me in a social media defense mga Quezon followers.
"Nobody said he was a hero, so labas sya sa kabaduyan ng 'Bayaniverse'.
"He was a President, and the best ever most incorruptible," Ricky ended.
