Two individuals were confirmed dead after an explosion occurred at a suspected firecracker factory in Barangay Partida, Norzagaray, on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Residents reported hearing a loud explosion that shook the area shortly before noon. Responding teams from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) immediately rushed to the site.
Authorities initially found one body at the scene. While inspecting the area, operatives later discovered a second victim. Both sustained fatal injuries, with one suffering severe head and limb trauma.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) have been deployed to process the site and recover the remains.
The BFP and PNP are conducting a joint investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and confirm whether the area was being used for the illegal manufacture of firecrackers.
