  • Updated Model 3 brings improved hardware and extended range
  • Model Y buyers receive new incentives, while the Tesla Shop launches nationwide
Almost a year after officially entering the Philippine market in November 2024, Tesla is reinforcing its local presence with new products, programs, and retail initiatives. The company is rolling out updated versions of its Model 3 and Model Y, introducing ownership incentives, and launching an online store as part of its broader goal to use its brand equity in aiding electric vehicle adoption in the country.
Rising sales
The company has reported that more than 2,000 vehicles have been registered locally in just under a year since its launch. This growth has been attributed to strong interest in its vehicles and the steady rollout of charging infrastructure. Three Supercharging sites with a total of 12 chargers are now in operation, along with eight Destination Charging locations offering 32 chargers across key cities. Meanwhile, nearly 2,000 home chargers have also been installed for owners who prefer to charge privately.
Two new programs are helping drive further adoption. The Green Mobility Program offers incentives to corporations and associations to encourage fleet electrification, while the Refer and Earn program allows existing owners to gain credits or rewards for successful referrals. Customers can participate in both through the Tesla app.
Model 3 updates
The Tesla Model 3, the world’s best-selling electric sedan, now comes with new hardware and updated styling. A new front-facing camera enhances visibility and safety, bringing the total to eight cameras for the vehicle’s vision-based Autopilot system. Tesla also reintroduced a traditional turn-signal stalk for improved ergonomics and added matte-black badges for a cleaner appearance.
Performance has been enhanced as well. The Long Range All-Wheel Drive version now delivers up to 660-kilometers of range, while the Performance model can reach 571-kilometers on a single charge. These improvements come with no change in pricing, with the Model 3 lineup starting at ₱2,109,000 for the rear-wheel drive variant and ₱3,099,000 for the top-spec Performance trim.
Model Y incentives
Tesla’s Model Y, currently the world’s best-selling vehicle, continues to be the company’s most popular offering in the Philippines. It now comes with complimentary one-year comprehensive insurance coverage for all variants. The Model Y combines practicality and performance, offering up to 600-kilometers of range under WLTP testing and over 2,130-liters of storage space. Through Tesla’s financing partners, customers can purchase one starting at ₱2,369,000, with monthly payments as low as ₱38,810.
Tesla highlights that Model Y owners can charge up to 283-kilometers of range in about 15 minutes using Superchargers, making it ideal for long-distance travel. Orders can be placed online at any time through Tesla’s official website, aligning with the brand’s direct-to-consumer sales approach.
Launch of the Tesla shop
Tesla has also launched its online retail platform, the Tesla shop, in the Philippines. The website offers a curated collection of official merchandise, apparel, vehicle accessories, and charging tools. All orders include free nationwide delivery. Owners can also redeem Tesla credits, earned through the referral program, toward their purchases. The online shop mirrors Tesla’s customer-first approach by combining convenience with accessibility.
