PDEA: P928 M worth of illegal drugs seized in nationwide week-long operation

Government anti-narcotics authorities confiscated P938.03 million worth of illegal drugs in nationwide anti-drug operations from Oct. 10 to 17, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
The anti-narcotics teams also nabbed 142 alleged drug personalities during the week-long operation across the country.
Those arrested include alleged pushers, alleged drug den visitors or clients, and suspected drug den owners or maintainers.
In a statement, the PDEA said that the operations led to the confiscation of 109,681.84 grams of shabu; 28 milliliters (ml) of liquid shabu; 17,100 grams of cocaine; 62,344.82 grams of marijuana kush; 14.17 grams of dried marijuana leaves; 81,920 marijuana plants; 124 ml of marijuana oil and 1,250 marijuana seedlings.
The major highlights of the week-long anti-drug operations were the buy-bust operations conducted by PDEA Regional Office (RO) National Capital Region, PDEA RO4A and Quezon Provincial Office that resulted in the seizure of 24,983.00 grams of shabu; interdiction conducted by PDEA RO NCR; MICP Bureau of Customs in Tondo, Manila where 62,307 grams of marijuana kush were confiscated and PDEA RO NCR NAIA-DITG where 84,120.00 grams of shabu were seized.
PDEA Director General Isagani R. Nerez lauded the dedication of the agency’s regional offices and partner law enforcement agencies for their relentless operations across the country.
He emphasized that these achievements demonstrate the whole-of-nation approach in combating the menace of illegal drugs.
