Man fatally shoots wife in Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY – A teacher was shot gunned down by her husband at the Agbanga Elementary School in Barangay Agbanga, Matalom town, Leyte province, on Wednesday.
The Matalom Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the victim as Ellen, 39.
Initial investigation said Ellen was being chased by the suspect Lino and sought refuge in a classroom.
Lino caught up and shot her multiple times with a firearm of undetermined caliber.
The victim died on the spot and the suspect fled onboard a white mini-van towards Matalom town proper.
The body of the victim was found by a co-teacher and was reported to the police.
Police are conducting hot pursuit and follow-up investigation.
