Four individuals, including two men who were caught in the act of purchasing, were arrested during a buy-bust operation that yielded P646,000 worth of shabu in San Mateo, Rizal, early Tuesday, Oct. 21.

The San Mateo Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Team (DET), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), conducted the operation that led to the arrest of “Tiong” and “Jo.”

The two others, identified as “Marvin” and “Jolo,” were arrested after being caught in the act of buying shabu from “Tiong.”

Confiscated from the suspects were about 95 grams of suspected shabu, a pouch, and two motorcycles.

The suspects are currently detained at the San Mateo Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
