The Ospital ng Tondo (OsTon) has successfully retained its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification following a recent surveillance audit, an achievement that underscores the hospital’s dedication to excellence in healthcare service.
Hospital Director Dr. Edwin C. Perez said the continued certification reflects OsTon’s unwavering commitment to quality service and continuous improvement in all aspects of its operations, particularly in serving the residents of Manila’s second district.
“Ang ISO certification ay isang hakbang patungo sa mas magandang bukas para sa ating mga pasyente, mga empleyado, at ang buong komunidad. Patuloy naming isusulong ang mga inisyatiba upang matiyak ang pinakamahusay na kalidad ng pangangalaga para sa bawat pasyente na tumutungo sa ating ospital (The ISO certification is a step toward a better future for our patients, our employees, and the entire community. We will continue to push forward initiatives to ensure the highest quality of care for every patient who comes to our hospital),” Dr. Perez emphasized.
He credited the success to the collaborative efforts of the hospital’s doctors, nurses, staff, and employees, expressing confidence that the recognition will inspire them to keep serving with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
Dr. Perez assured the public that under his leadership, OsTon will continue to provide free healthcare services marked by genuine concern and dedication.
Ospital ng Tondo is one of six district hospitals operated by the City Government of Manila, with each facility catering to one of the city’s six districts.
An ISO 9001:2015 certification signifies that an organization has met rigorous international standards for quality management and patient safety.
For hospitals, the certification means improved quality of care, consistent service delivery, and a strong framework for continual improvement, all of which ultimately benefit the patients.
With its certification intact, OsTon aims to strengthen its position as a reliable public healthcare institution committed to delivering excellent medical services to the people of Tondo.
