Jollibee Foods Corp. reported that its Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) brand has opened its first in Hulhumalé, Maldives, marking another step in its growing international presence.
CBTL is the Jollibee Group’s flagship brand for coffee and tea, and it now has over 1,200 locations across more than 20 countries.
Located along the beachfront of Hulhumalé’s Central Park, the new café seats up to 35 guests and offers CBTL’s signature ice blended drinks, specialty coffees, premium teas, and freshly prepared meals.
Designed as a welcoming destination for locals and tourists, the café reflects the brand’s long tradition of crafting beverages from the world’s finest ingredients.
The store is operated by Waterscape Investments Pvt. Ltd., a franchisee committed to growing CBTL across the Maldives.
“We value our collaboration with Waterscape Investments, whose deep understanding of the local market and commitment to excellence mirrors our own values," said CBTL Chief Executive Officer Pepot Miñana.
He added that, "This is a significant milestone for us, and we are confident that together, we will create a unique and welcoming space where the people of the Maldives can enjoy our handcrafted beverages and experience the authentic flavours we've perfected over decades."
Miñana noted that, “The Maldives is a world-renowned destination, and we are excited to bring The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf experience to its shores. This opening is part of our vision in CBTL to become one of the top specialty coffee and tea chains in the world.”
With its recent opening in the Maldives, Jollibee said CBTL reinforces its position as a cornerstone in the Group’s portfolio—strengthening the Group’s global presence in the coffee and tea category—while continuing to bring premium café experiences to new markets.
