In a statement, DOLE said the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) confirmed a ₱20 daily increase for non-agriculture workers and a ₱40 hike for those in the agriculture sector.
The adjustment raises the daily minimum wage for non-agriculture workers in the region to ₱500 from the previous ₱480.
Those in the agriculture sector will also benefit from the increase, up from ₱460 to the same rate.
DOLE added that the RTWPB also approved a ₱500 monthly pay increase for domestic helpers across all provinces, cities, and municipalities in the region.
With the adjustment, the new minimum monthly wage for kasambahay, regardless of the income class of the locality, is now ₱6,500.
