LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The provincial government has ordered the mandatory wearing of face masks in the province due to the increasing number of influenza-like cases.
The order issued by Gov. Helen Tan is effective immediately.
Face masks should be worn in indoor settings and outdoor areas where physical distancing is not observed.
Meanwhile, the Lucena City government, headed by Mayor Mark Alcala, has suspended face-to-face classes on all levels in the city due to the continued increase in flu cases from Oct. 20 to 22.
Alcala reminded residents to wear face masks indoors and outdoors.
