Pryce expands gas empire with three new separation plants

Listed firm Pryce Corp. (PPC) is expanding its reach as a major industrial gas company with the planned development of three new air separation plants in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, Oct. 20, the company said it is set to build three new air separation plants, which are facilities that produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. This would expand its gas manufacturing footprint in Pangasinan, Bacolod, and Davao.
PPC stated that each plant is worth ₱2 billion, totaling ₱6 billion, and is scheduled for completion within three years.
“This expansion directly supports PPC’s goal of becoming the largest industrial gas company in the Philippines, a milestone the company aims to achieve within the same three-year timeframe,” it stated.
Last year, Pryce’s existing air separation plant generated 8,900 equivalent standard cylinders (ESC) for oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, while the industrial gas volume rose to 2.03 million cylinders. This facility had a one-and-a-half-year construction period.
PPC’s consolidated net income from January to September posted a 35 percent increase from 2024 figures of ₱2.21 billion to approximately ₱2.99 billion.
According to the industrial gas firm, this represents a year-on-year growth of ₱777 million, equivalent to its previous year's results.
Meanwhile, its consolidated revenues grew by ₱1.63 billion due to better sales in liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) and industrial gases.
Ninety-one percent of the total revenues came from LPG and industrial gases, which contributed ₱15.49 billion, while its real estate and memorial park operations generated ₱279 million.
Pryce’s pharmaceutical products saw a ₱45 million share, while dividend and other income produced ₱310 million during the first nine months of 2025.
Its earnings per share also saw a 36.2 percent increase from ₱1.0830 to ₱1.4748.
To date, Pryce has over 11 terminals, 50 refilling plants, and 400 sales centers.
