Ji Chang-wook returns to Manila, pens sweet message to Filipino fans

Korean actor Ji Chang-wook has definitely brought a ray of sunshine for his Filipino fans as he marked his third visit to Manila.
During a media conference for the 8th anniversary celebration for IAM Worldwide held at the Peninsula Manila on Oct. 19, Chang-wook expressed how grateful he is to his Pinoy fans who supported him through the years.
"I would actually say that I’m very, very thankful for your unconditional love for me. I want to meet you guys more often," the actor said via interpreter.
He added, "To actually be recognized and to be loved by our fans abroad, that fact itself is already amazing and surprising to me."

The Korean heartthrob also penned a sweet message for his Pinoy fans for the countless love and support for him in the coming years.
"First of all, thank you so much for your countless love. And I hope you can always look forward to me because I'll be working hard to be a better individual, and also working on a better project for you guys, and always stay healthy," he said.
To make the press conference even more memorable, Chang-wook gamely posed for photos and interacted with members of the press.
Love for acting
Being in the entertainment industry for a decade and starring on numerous K-dramas, Chang-wook shared what keeps him grounded as an actor.
"I think all the complimentary things that made me sustain my career for more than 10 years, such as having it in my control and having a sound mind and heart," he said.
Chang-wook rose to fame with standout roles in popular dramas like ''Healer,'' ''The K2,'' and ''Empress Ki.''
More recently, he appeared in the psychological thriller "The Worst of Evil" and the mystery series "The Sound of Magic."
He also explained that the success of K-dramas isn't just due to compelling storytelling, but also the global appreciation for Korean culture.
"So if you would actually ask me the secret to the success of the K-drama, I think it's a very broad question for me. For me personally, I think it's not really just scoping in the K-drama, but if the drama itself is good, it could be loved anywhere in the world. And I personally think that K-dramas are being loved because Korean culture itself is being loved by people around the world. And for me, I just exert my very best to the point that it will not harm the Korean culture," Chang-wook said.
Grand entrance
Chang-wook arrived at the Mall of Asia Arena to enthusiastic cheers from his Filipino fans.
His Philippine visit was made possible by health and wellness company IAM Worldwide, which Chang-wook is endorsing.

Before heading to the main stage, performances by the K-pop boy group NTX hypes up the fans.
Making a grand entrance while sitting on a motorcycle, Chang-wook greeted the fans with his beaming smile while saying hello and creating finger hearts.
To make the night even more exciting, Chang-wook participated in games, including charades.
