Internet sensation JB Sucal tries to prove his worth when he joins the first-ever Philippines Open Pool Championship slated Oct. 21 to 26 at Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City.
Matchroom Pool disclosed that the 16-year-old Sucal is among the 128 participants in the $125,000 (P7,275,250) tournament.
Sucal, a promising player from Sarangani, looks to test his mettle against the world’s best including his fellow youngster, the recent Reyes Cup MVP AJ Manas.
Both Sucal and Manas showed great potential in their young and promising careers after beating older rivals here and overseas.
Top Filipino bets are also boarding in, including Anton Raga, Bernie Regalario, world champions Carlo Biado, and Johann Chua, and James Aranas, to name a few.
Spaniard Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, David Alcaide, Vietnam’s Dương Quốc Hoàng, Denmark’s Mickey Krause, and Scottish Jayson Shaw are also included in the roster.
