70 wanted persons in Cordillera nabbed in week-long manhunt

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Seventy wanted persons were arrested in manhunt operations in the Cordillera region from Oct. 12 to 18.
The Baguio City Police Office arrested 23, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 19, Mountain Province PPO, nine; Kalinga PPO, eight; Ifugao and Apayao PPOs, four each, and Abra PPO with three.
Due to intensified police presence and community cooperation, 52 municipalities in the region, including two police stations in Baguio City, reported zero crime incidents in the week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 17 municipalities in Abra, 10 in Ifugao, eight in Benguet and Mountain Province, six in Apayao, and three in Kalinga.
In Baguio City, Police Stations 4 and 8 reported zero crime incidents.
PRO-Cordillera recorded a Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) rate of 84.06 percent and a Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) rate of 78.26 percent for the week.
These were attributed to the diligent efforts of police officers in responding to and resolving reported incidents.
