Angelica Hart bids sexy roles goodbye

Rising star Angelica Hart has stepped away from sexy roles as she embraces her appearances in the series"Totoy Bato" on TV5 and "Bubble Gang" on GMA Network.

In a candid interview in Quezon City, Angelica shared that she previously accepted sexy roles as a way to advance her career in showbiz.

"Sa totoo lang po, bago pa lang ako noon sa pagsabak sa sexy movies ay nasa puso ko na talaga na gusto kong mag-transition po sa wholesome image. Kaya kumbaga ay naging stepping stone ko po talaga ang Vivamax. (To be honest, I was just new to sexy movies, but I already had it in my heart that I wanted to transition to a wholesome image. So I guess Vivamax really became my stepping stone)," said Angelica.

When asked if she's closing the doors to sexy roles, Angelica said, "Yes, po stop na! Goodbye na ako sa mga sexy role. Inilipat na ako ni Boss Vic (Del Rosario) sa Viva One. (Yes, I've stopped. I'm saying goodbye to sexy roles. Boss Vic (Del Rosario) has transferred me to Viva One."

Angelica confidently expressed that her shift from sultry roles to more wholesome characters was a seamless journey.

"Medyo naging madali po sa akin lalo na at likas na komedyante po ako at masayahin na tao. Syempre po sa tulong po iyan ng mga co-actors ko sa 'Bubble Gang' at 'Pepito Manaloto.' ("It was pretty easy for me, especially since I'm a natural comedian and a cheerful person. Of course, that was with the help of my co-actors in 'Bubble Gang' and 'Pepito Manaloto,')" she added.

Angelica also said that she's excited to do action scenes in the "Totoy Bato" series.
"Yes po sasabak po ako rito sa aksiyon. Makakaeksena ko si si Kiko Estrada, and sunod po ay si Jett (Andrew Muhlach). Ako po rito si Pierra, ang may hawak ng sikreto ng simbahan ng Pook Paraiso. (Yes, I will do action scenes here. I will be able to act with Kiko Estrada, and next will be Jett (Andrew Muhlach). I am Pierra here, the one who holds the secret of the church of Pook Paraiso.)"

Angelica said she still couldn't believe that she's still on television doing regular shows. "Sobrang saya ko po. Hindi pa talaga nagsi-sink in sa akin ang lahat ng ito. (I'm so happy. All of this hasn't really sunk in for me yet.)"

She added, "Sobrang thankful po ako sa kanilang lahat, mababait po sila, pati na ang production. Mararamdaman mo talaga na safe ka sa kanila at para akong hindi baguhang artista. (I'm so thankful to all of them, they're so kind, including the production. You really feel safe with them and like I'm not a new artist.)"

Angelica revealed her dreams for her blossoming career in the glittering world of showbiz. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she shared her aspirations, envisioning herself on grand stages and in captivating roles that would showcase her talent and creativity.

"Ang wish ko sa career ko ay maging smooth at ma-guide ako ni Lord sa bago kong tinatahak na landas at maging successful sa lahat ng gagawin ko po. (My wish for my career is for it to be smooth and for the Lord to guide me on my new path and to be successful in everything I do)," she added
