Fast-rising prospect Kenneth Llover and comebacking former three-division world champion John Riel Casimero are starring in a two-day event in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Oct. 25 and 26.
The two Filipino fighters are headlining the event promoted by Kameda Promotions, with Casimero making his ring return against Japanese fighter Kyonosuke Kameda in a 10-round super featherweight bout on the first day.
Llover, on the other hand, takes the spotlight when he takes on towering Argentine foe Luciano Baldor in another 10-round super bantamweight fight.
Casimero is fighting again after a year-long hiatus or since he knocked out American boxer Saul Sanchez on Oct. 16 last year.
The 36-year-old Filipino, however, was slapped with a one-year ban for failing to make the weight twice before the bout.
Casimero, who sports a 34-4-1 record with 23 knockouts, signed with Kameda Promotions of Koki Kameda last August, paving the way to his comeback fight.
Though younger at 27 years old, Kameda (15-5-2, 9 KOs) is coming into the bout on a two-fight losing skid against Luis Nery and David Picasso.
Llover, meanwhile, was supposed to fight in a title-eliminator bout but the talks bogged down that resulted in another tuneup fight.
The pride of General Trias, Cavite, however, is facing no ordinary foe, especially with Baldor boasting the height and reach advantage over Llover.
The Argentine stands at 5-foot-11 and boasts a 21-4 record with 1KO. Firepower, though, is the advantage of Llover evident on his 15-0 slate with 10KOs.
