BAGUIO CITY – The annual Christmas Village of the Baguio Country Club has opened to bring joy to residents and tourists.
This year’s theme, Rising Sun, features famous parks in Japan and used eco-friendly materials.
Andrew Pinero, BCC communications officer, said artificial snow has been added to complement the Christmas Village featuring a Nativity Scene.
The Christmas Village, now on its 15th year, started in 2011 by employees of the exclusive membership resort here to give a new attraction to their members and the community.
Employees again put up the Christmas Village the following year using recycled materials.
Pinero said the Christmas Village is convenient.
“We make sure that visitors also enjoy the food concessionaires that we have placed inside the village and we have also put in more chairs for our senior citizens and PWDs,” Pinero said.
The Christmas Village is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily with an entrance fee of P200 for adults, P16 for children four- to 12-years-old, P143 for senior citizens, P115 for PWD children, and children three-years-old and below are free.
