A 10-year-old girl died and a civilian was injured in a fire that broke out in residential area in Pasay City, Friday night, Oct. 17.
According to the Pasay City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) the blaze affected a total of 347 individuals.
The fatality was identified as Jamzey.
The injured, Michael,44, sustained a laceration on the left shoulder.
The BFP said the fire started at 11:07 p.m. at a house occupied by Marissa Lomibao, located at 2 Conchita M. dela Cruz St., Barangay 127, Pasay City. The flames immediately spread to nearby houses.
A total of 52 fire trucks responded and extinguished the blaze at 12:22 a.m. on Saturday.
The BFP said the damage cost was placed at P450,000.
The Pasay City Social Welfare and Development reported that the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the victims were brought to the Juan Sumulong Elementary School.
She ordered the setting up of modular tents and the provision of food packs and other necessary supplies for the victims.
