THE Travel Tour Expo (TTE) VisMin Edition will be held in Davao City in 2026.
DAVAO CITY – The Philippines Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) and the Davao Travel Agencies Association (DTAA) officially signed a partnership agreement to bring the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) VisMin Edition to Davao City next year.
PTAA Executive Vice President Jaison Yang and DTAA President Gian Carlo Caguiat signed the agreement in a hotel here on Friday, Oct. 17.
Yang said their collaboration aims to expand the reach of the country’s biggest travel expo to Mindanao, following successful runs in Cagayan de Oro in 2024 and Iloilo in 2025.
Caguiat told Manila Bulletin that the PTAA and DTAA’s partnership marks a significant milestone for the Davao region and the city’s tourism and travel industry.
He added that the 2026 Davao leg will feature special fares from airlines, exclusive discounts from tour operators and wholesalers, and promotions on cruises and other travel products.
“These are the same exciting deals travelers from Luzon have enjoyed for years. This partnership will open more opportunities and introduce new destinations and travel products to Mindanao,” Caguiat said.
Caguiat believes hosting the 2026 TTE VisMin Edition will boost Davao’s local tourism industry and economy, while reinforcing the city’s status as a premier travel and business hub in the southern Philippines.
He added that buyers and sellers will also have a two-day business-to-business session. Buyers will consist of travel agents from Visayas and Mindanao, while sellers will include local and international tour operators.
“This is a time for the Davao region and the city to showcase our attractions as travel agents and tour operators from across the country and abroad visit the city,” Caguiat said.
He said the incoming event serves as an opportunity to widen the sellers’ market reach and a chance to for travel agents to strengthen their networks.
For Davao, Caguiat said the TTE VisMin Edition is the perfect moment to highlight the best it can offer tourists as they bring an experience closer to the people of Mindanao with the two agencies’ partnership.
Every year, the PTAA hosts a three-day TTE in Metro Manila showcasing everything about travel, from airline tickets, hotel accommodations, local and international tours, to cruises.
The 2026 TTE is a significant event for the travel industry, Caguiat said. He emphasized the PTAA and DTAA’s commitment to boost the industry’s growth and recovery as they explore new destinations and experiences.
