At the heart of it all is property giant Megaworld’s 34-hectare The Upper East township—the city’s modern central business district and go-to destination for the biggest events of this year’s Masskara Festival.
From glowing parades to fashion runways, The Upper East offers a stacked lineup of experiences for locals and visitors alike. If you’re planning a trip to one of the Philippines’ most talked-about festivals, here’s your guide to all the must-visit happenings this year.

On October 17, the Upper East Avenue will come alive at night with one of the festival’s most anticipated highlights, transforming it into a glowing corridor of revelry, music, and excitement.
The Electric Masskara Parade features colorful giant floats filled with dancers in neon-lit costumes and illuminated masks, grooving from Upper East Avenue on its way to the rest of the city. It’s a headlining spectacle that captures the energy and vibrance of Bacolod City’s biggest festival like no other.
Celebrate Bacolod food, fashion, and fur friends
If you’re staying long for the festival, The Upper East will feature culinary treats, pet-friendly fun, and fashion showcases for the season, which has been running since October 1 and will end on October 19.
Indulge in local flavors at the MassKara Food Fair, cheer on furry friends at the PetsKara Pet Parade, and witness fashion in motion at the Longest Denim Runway by Blackout Models—a bold showcase set against the township’s iconic streetscape.
