EAC gains much-needed win over Arellano

Emilio Aguinaldo College regained its footing with an 84-73 win over Arellano in the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament at San Juan Arena on Friday, Oct. 17.

The Generals immediately bounced back after a 81-64 loss at the hands of San Beda on Tuesday, with the trio of Wilmar Oftana, Brianne Angeles and Jude Bagay finishing with 19, 15 and 12 points, respectively, in EAC’s second win of the season.

“I told the boys na nasa bottom kami sa group B right now so this is a very vital game for us and we needed to win this one,” coach Jerson Cabiltes said.

Renzo Abiera’s 24-point explosion just wasn’t enough to pace the Chiefs as they fell to a 2-3 card.
