Countries to showcase own goods in PH to support causes

The Philippines will be transformed into a "shopping mecca" featuring products from around the world, with proceeds to fund various charitable causes, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro said.
"On November 16, 2025, the World Trade Center Camp in Pasay City will be transformed into a shopping mecca full of the finest products from across the world, brought to us by the participating diplomatic and consular missions," Lazaro said in her message at the launch of the 2025 International Bazaar on Friday, Oct. 17.
"Like all bazaars and markets around the world, we can expect a confluence of stories, paintings, and craftsmanship," Lazaro added.
Lazaro said the bazaar— a collaboration by the International Bazaar Foundation (IBF), the Spouses of the Heads of Missions, and the diplomatic and consular missions to the Philippines— is about "making a difference."
She noted that the funds raised from sales will go to various projects the International Bazaar Foundation (IBF) supports such as scholarship grants to the Serbian students, indigent families, and help for the homeless, abused women, abandoned children, and other marginalized communities.
The DFA chief further said that the bazaar is "a testament to the strong sense of community of the diplomatic and consular corps in Manila," both amongst their members and with their Filipino friends in the greater community.
She said it would also be "a celebration of cultural heritage and the generosity of the human spirit."
The upcoming 59th edition of the International Bazaar is dubbed "Shop Global, Help Local," highlighting the coming together of global wonders and local as well as entrepreneurship and philanthropy.
Lazaro expressed hopes that the bazaar would be "an instrument for significant and impactful change in the lives of many."
Currently, there are 42 participating exhibitors from the Diplomatic and Consular Corps and 23 from the Philippines.
