Caloocan LGU issues cemetery schedule, safety reminders for Undas 2025

The Caloocan City government on Friday, Oct. 17, released the operating schedule and safety reminders for residents and visitors who will visit cemeteries during the observance of Undas 2025.

According to the Public Information Office (PIO), public cemeteries in the city will be open on the following dates and hours:
- Oct. 30: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Oct. 31 to Nov. 1: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Nov. 2: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The city government advised the public to follow designated entry and exit points to maintain order and safety.
It added that vehicles will not be allowed inside public cemeteries. The cleaning of tombs and graves will be permitted only until Oct. 30.
Visitors were reminded to take care of personal belongings, wear face masks, and avoid bringing prohibited items such as:
- Plastic bottles, styrofoam, and disposable containers
- Sharp objects like knives and ice picks
- Alcoholic beverages and firecrackers
- Loud devices such as radios and speakers
- Gambling materials, including cards and mahjong sets
The Caloocan City Police and the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department will be deployed in key areas to ensure peace and security throughout the observance.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan also issued safety reminders for residents who will be leaving their homes during Undas:
"Mga Batang Kankaloo, narito po ang ilan sa mahalagang paalala para sa mga luluwas sa ibang lugar ngayong nalalapit na paggunita ng Undas (“Batang Kankaloo, here are some important reminders for those who will be traveling to other places for the upcoming observance of Undas)," Malapitan said. 
Residents are advised to:
- Unplug all electrical appliances before leaving home
- Ensure that gas tanks and stoves are properly turned off
- Close all faucets to prevent water waste
- Lock all doors and windows
- Inform barangay officials or a trusted relative or neighbor before leaving
Malapitan also ordered the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Caloocan, Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD), and the City Health Department to stay alert and ready to respond to any situation.
“Nagbigay na rin po tayo ng direktiba sa ating mga ahensya na maging alerto at handa sa anumang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan para sa mas ligtas at payapang paggunita ng Undas (We have also issued a directive to our agencies to stay alert and prepared to respond to any needs of our fellow citizens to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of Undas)," he said.

The city government urged the public to observe discipline, respect, and cleanliness while visiting their departed loved ones to ensure a safe and orderly Undas 2025.
