3 frat men face raps for beating teens inside Pasig house

The Pasig City Police Station on Thursday, Oct. 16, said that three men, all in their 30s, will face multiple charges following a viral video showing them suddenly entering a house and physically assaulting four victims, including three minors, one of whom was the alleged 13-year-old girlfriend of one of the suspects.

Pasig City Police Station chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan identified the suspects as “Dek,” “Jac,” and “Rick,” all members of the True Brown Style (TBS) fraternity.
The incident occurred on Sept. 23 in Barangay Pinagbuhatan and went viral on social media only recently, prompting personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) to coordinate with barangay desk officers to locate and identify the victims.
On Oct. 15, the alleged 13-year-old girlfriend, two 16-year-old victims, and one adult victim went to the station to formally report the incident.
They told investigators that they were just hanging out at one of their friends’ houses when the suspects suddenly appeared, shouting and, for no apparent reason, physically assaulted them.
In the viral video, the suspects can be seen brandishing what appeared to be a gun, which was later found to be a toy, and threatening the victims.
After the incident was reported, authorities said the suspects voluntarily went to the station for a clarificatory interview.
During the interview, police said that “Dek” admitted that he had a relationship with the 13-year-old girl.
Dek stated that after several failed attempts to meet his girlfriend, he became upset and decided to look for her with the help of his fraternity brothers. Upon learning that she was at the said location, they went to the house where they assaulted the victims.
On Oct. 16, Mangaldan said in a press conference that multiple complaints for grave threats, physical injuries, and acts of lasciviousness, all in relation to Republic Act 7610, were initially prepared for filing against the suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor, Pasig City.
The Pasig City Police Station said it condemns any form of violence and is fully committed to upholding justice and ensuring peace and order in the city. It also assured the public that it is taking actions to address the matter and will continue to uphold the rule of law without fear or favor.
